Equipment: C11 telescope at F/10, ASI120MM camera with IR filter. 3000 frames in bad seeing conditions.
After a short look at the departing sunspot group AR 1944, I started to look for Venus through my C11 telescope. After about 5 minutes, the very thin but very large crescent suddenly appeared into the field of view. It was surreal to watch the boiling atmospheric arc of the planet just above the Sun in plain day. January 11, 2013, 11:33 U.T.
